Hello everyone!

At first it was really hard but I think I got this grain/gluten free thing down.  I've been at it for a few days and I want to make a little announcement-

I have lost about 10 pounds this week! I went from around 280-281 to 271.2 this morning.

I didn't believe it either. I had to step on the scale at least 5 times. I even saw the number dip into the 260s while it was calculating my weight.

I also woke up feeling really good today despite being worked to the bone yesterday.  I slept about 5-6 hours and woke up feeling as if I had slept 10. More refreshed and energetic!

The friend of mine I met up with last night is also gluten free (not grain free like me) and she lost so far a total of 40 pounds!  

So, if you ever thought of low carbing/gluten free/grain free, try it! You might be surprised at how good you feel and look as a result!


  1. I think sometimes it is easier to go grain free to begin with, rather than just gluten free.
    YOu can always reassess but now you know that gluten/grain was one of your bloating/weight gain culprits.
    Give it about 6 weeks and see how you feel but I know I have lots more energy when I consume limited amounts of grains.

  2. I also noticed my skin is less itchy when I don't eat grains. I am aiming for grain free but a bite here and there won't kill me I guess. :)

  3. Wow, that's terrific! Way to go! Clearly grains do not agree with you... when you eliminate them your body is much happier!

    Maybe I will try it too!
