Hello everyone!
I am contemplating working out (I probably will, Mondays I work all day and have class in the evening), in the meantime, I got my new shoes!
They look a lot like my old ones except the old ones were silver where the black is. Still hot pink. I am about to try them on, if they don't fit right then back to Zappos they go for a different size.
You know what? I guess I SHOULD work out, just because it's late at night doesn't mean I get to use it as an excuse. Also, tonight's workout should be pretty short- 20 reps MS and 10 minutes of step touch DC to get me back into it.
Also, one of my readers gave me an idea, but I haven't decided if I am going to do it- it depends on how able I am to do bootcamp level 2 when I get to it.
Will share later!
Have a good night, off to try on my shoes and hopefully get a workout in. :)

Tracy Anderson 30 Day Method- Day 1 of 30
Hello everyone!
After eons of talking about starting bootcamp, being indecisive about bootcamp, etc, I finally took the plunger and just did it!
Some of you might not know what I mean by bootcamp. That's ok, I'll explain it.
If you don't know already, Tracy came out with a book in 2010 called Tracy Anderson's 30 day method. It works in a very similar way to Metamorphosis- change your workout every 10 days. However, there are a few differences.
1. In the 30 day method, there are NO rest days. Hence, the term "boot camp" which she uses in the book as well.
2. Unlike Meta, the book actually maps out for you how to begin your TAM journey based on your current fitness level. BIG help!
3. You get a lot of background information, tips/tricks, etc in the book that you do not in Meta.
In short, I believe starting out with the book and THEN heading to meta would be a good choice for most people. There is a lot more instruction with the movements, and you build up strength enough for the next level. It also makes the dance cardio a lot less intimidating, especially for beginners.
Now then. How did my first day go?
I did my MS work 20 reps each move (every 1st day of a level you are only supposed to do 20) and I did 60 minutes of step touch cardio. Mind you, you do not have to do this much. I did it because a) I am technically NOT a beginner with this stuff and b) I just felt up to it. Remember, never go over an hour with your DC. Tracy says that both in the book and in Meta cardio.
That wasn't the only movement I did today! I have started taking my puppy out for 2 one-hour long walks a day to tire his butt out and so he gets the exercise a mini poodle needs. (They need at least an hour a day but he has pent up puppy energy he's gotta let go of)
So yeah... I did quite a bit today. I also took my weight and measurements. I prefer to wait until 10 days have passed so I can give you a before and after(ish).
Vlog should be up soon. I am not sure if I have the energy to do it tonight, I think I might do them with a delay, like do yesterday's vlog today, etc. Right now I honestly feel like nosediving into bed.
I hope you guys had a great Friday- and let's work for a productive weekend- at least workout wise!

Day 2?
Hello everyone!
Short post today- Today was SUPPOSED to be my 2nd day of bootcamp, with 25 reps and everything. Sadly, I only got part of it done and I feel bad about it. Where I live, we got hit with a snowstorm, and I ended up having to shovel all of my sidewalks several times, among other things that just got in the way.
I was only able to work my right leg with Tracy and I feel guilty about it. So, what was going to be day 3 I am just going to start over. Then, when I start meta, I start right on a Monday if all goes well. I did, at least, eat properly.
Breakfast- eggs and blackberries
Lunch- Think thin bar (I was really busy)
Snack- celery and hummus (yum!) and a half can of diet coke (bad, I know)
Dinner- Korean pork barbecue (only a little) making little sandwiches out of it with lettuce leaves
So, I am just going to do day 1 over too. I think I could have done more with the cardio also. I am starting to think I am a moderate beginner as opposed to an absolute beginner. So, we'll see!
I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

My 2012 Challenge Goals
Hello everyone~
In my last post I talked about my challenge for 2012- and here are my goals, as promised!
1. My exercise goals- I am starting Meta fresh with the new year. I would PREFER to do it with an hour of dance cardio but as long as I get at least 30 minutes in a day, that's good too.
2. Journal- I have a wire bound journal dated all the way up to May 31, 2012.
3. Dieting goals- eat 3 times a day (I have been eating maybe 1-2 times a day which is just as counterproductive as eating too much food) and keep it grain free.
I hope more of you join in on the challenge! Regardless, I will be blogging my way through it.
Very excited to start!!!

Bad News...
Hello Everyone.
I have some terrible news. Unfortunately, I am out of commission from working out AGAIN. Why? I fell and busted my ankle. The same ankle I busted not long ago is causing me trouble again. No cool story associated with it either. I was walking back inside from taking the dog out and BOOM. Down I go. I must have misstepped or something, the only good thing is I fell at home and not outside somewhere.
I will keep blogging with updates, articles, and any Tracy news I come across. Bear with me and I will be getting back to working out soon.
I hope you guys have a better Sunday than I did.

Tracy Anderson Pregnancy Videos
Hello Everyone!!!
Yesterday I failed in getting back on the train like I wanted to. I ended up not doing my metamorphosis but instead stretching for an hour again. I think I fell into a funk that I really have to get out of.
On another note, for those of you who do not already know, Tracy is now pregnant! However, this does not mean she is stopping/holding off on putting out more content for us. In fact, she is in the process of filming workouts to do while pregnant- one workout per month.
She even took a minute to announce it on set-
Tracy Anderson Pregnancy Workout Message
Also, she is going to have her two master trainers, Stacey and Maria help out and film parts of continuity.
For fun, some videos of Maria practicing moves for the Hipcentric continuity series.
I'm excited to know what the second year of continuity will be like- I am not near that point yet but I hope one day I do, haha. (It seems so far away even though usually the months just fly by)
Also, due to popular demand, I heard that the rebounder workout that is included with the second year of continuity will also be sold on its own starting in February 2012. I'll keep updating you on these things as I learn more.
Have a great weekend and keep up all of your good work too!

A New Plan... Perhaps.
Hello everyone!
Over my time away from blogging, I have been to the doctor and have sorted out the medical problem that I have. A main cure/reduction of the symptoms is losing weight. I have also found out that I am what they call “morbidly obese” and my doc recommended I go on weight watchers.
On another note about being so heavy, it has come to my attention that perhaps maybe. JUST maybe, Tracy's method isn't quite appropriate for someone with as much weight to lose as I have. When I get down to around 200 pounds, then I would be DEFINITELY coming back to TAM. Again, this is tentative right now. Still coming up with a plan of attack but that is one of the options.
Tonight, I am going out with a friend of mine to discuss weight watchers, which she is also going to begin on Monday with me. I am also going to head to Bed Bath and Beyond (for those of you outside the US, that's a houseware/kitchenware store) and pick up the following:
A digital food scale
Good measuring cups (liquid and dry)
Measuring spoons (because a tablespoon from your silverware might not really be a true tablespoon)
I was on WW back in 2007, was VERY diligent and lost a lot of weight, as did my friend. So, we decided we are going to do it again.
As for working out, I am mainly going to focus on walking off the weight, perhaps adding in some jogs.
More to come, have a great day!

Metamorphosis Day 2
Hello everyone!
I finished day 2 of my omni metamorphosis yesterday (blogs will be posted the next day) and feeling it working already!
I am a lot more tired and flulike than I ever was with boot camp. I do sleep about 5-7 hours a night but I feel like it’s still not quite enough. Very tired in the morning, my energy these days usually doesn’t kick in until 12-1 pm now. I’m also sore but not in the injury/overuse sore (like I said last time) A friend of mine said that this tiredness is also in part from my body eating up the existing fat (since I am eating pretty low cal this week). Go ahead little muscles. I’ve got all the fat you could possibly want. Eat up! LOL
As for MS I actually struggled a little with 20 reps on the legs. I especially struggle with the moves that involve moving with the hips (Lifting my leg to the side especially). I am also barely able to make it through the arms and abs. Right when I am about to feel “I need a break” she goes to the next move. The ab work really makes me feel it in both my upper and lower abs. Lately it’s been hurting to laugh. This is a good thing!
By some strange miracle- I have done 30 minutes of cardio both days so far. I do tire during it but I make absolute sure that I DO NOT stop moving. Even if I am keeping it low impact, I keep moving my whole body, arms included (also very tiring). I know I worked out hard enough because within a couple minutes I am sweaty and tomato red, and I make sure I stay that way until the 30 minutes is up.
The scale has also been going down. I will not officially “Weigh in” until every 10 days is up. However, so far I have lost about 4.6 pounds since Monday. Not bad. I am also still keeping to the Nutrient Boost diet even though I do sneak a couple of bites here and there of other foods, mostly proteins. I am also starting to see VISUAL results- some of my outer thighs is starting to go, the tummy feels flatter and I feel like I stand straighter when I walk. Arms I am starting to see a little as well, and my lower legs (more by my ankles) looks like it’s starting to slim a little.
I also found out a friend of mine is starting her Omnicentric Metamorphosis journey today! So excited! A girl can never have enough support/workout buddies, especially ones who are doing the same thing!
Looking forward to the morning of day 11 when I take my official weight and measurements!

Metamorphosis Day 1
Hello everyone!
I decided to switch from boot camp to metamorphosis, and I began on June 13 (yesterday). I also took my starting stats. I ate all manner of foulness (junk food) over the weekend and it made me wake up and realize weight loss is REALLY about 80-90% diet.
Starting weight: 279.4 lb
Bust: 49 inches
Waist: 46 inches
Hips: 53 inches
Arms: L- 17 R- 16
Thighs: L- 30.5 R 31.5
Today I did all of my Muscular Structure work, 20 reps a leg and it KILLED me. As in body-felt-like-rubber killed. But it's not the horrible debilitating "I hurt myself!" pain. I did the DC for 30 minutes, step touching and really using my arms. I know my level (which is VERY IMPORTANT to avoid injury! Don't be a hero!!!) and I do work out hard enough to get tomato red and sweaty. If you can jump around easily (because you are far fitter than I) then go for it. :)
Diet was day 1 of the Nutrient Boost week. This means that every day this week consists of eating:
Kale juice
Carrot Parsnip Puree
Sweet Potato Corn Pudding (Yum!)
Tomato Gazpacho (tastes much better with roasted tomatoes)
Tofu protein soup (or chicken)
Blueberry applesauce
Chocolate chestnut pudding.
Next week I get to eat solids again, but I am actually loving one part of the puree parts- I only had to cook ONCE. Now I have all the food I need for the week, no pots and pans, and it's just there when I need it.

Day 8 and a change of plan
Hello everyone,
I have come to a conclusion lately concerning my working out. I am really thinking of this weekend being my last Boot Camp weekend. Why? After having tried both Boot Camp and Metamophosis, I find Metamorphosis to be much better suited to my needs.
1.I have found that although my weight on the scale has gone down, I attrtibute that much more to the diet than the boot camp workout. When I was on Metamorphosis before, I was seeing amazing changes to how I looked/measured as well as my weight. With boot camp, the looked/measured part is fairly minimal in comparison.
2.Time. I don't mind spending time cooking for myself, but 2 and a half hours of exercising is just a DRAG for me right now. Meta got me great results in an hour a day. Work days are VERY challenging for doing the boot camp workout.
3.I find the moves in boot camp to be a little much for me (sequences 2 and 3) because of my weight (extra body fat does not allow for easy movement!) , and lack of flexibility, the workouts involving the chair are really awkward and weird for my body. Perhaps when I slim down I can come back to them, but right now it would be just plain insanity. (I have tried them out of curiosity. Hilarity ensued). Meta is on all fours, no chair, and I can focus on form and blast the lard off of me.
I will still be doing boot camp until Saturday, then I will start Omni Metamorphosis level 1 and I of course, will be following the diet.
That said, since I am still on Boot Camp until Saturday, here's Day 8!
Day 8 was not the best day. After I got home from work, my apartment lost power (as did my whole block at least) because a big tree branch fell, downed a power line and landed (and damaged) someone's car. Not helping the fact that it was in the 90s, no power = no air conditioning/DVD player/etc. I ended up not doing my workout.
My diet went well, at least until dinner. I had eaten all of the food I was supposed to eat, but then dinner came and I caved. I ended up eating 2 taquito roll ups from 7-11 and a diet iced tea. Ok, the tea isn't so bad but the roll ups are what I feel guilty about. However, this act deterred me from doing such things again because I ended up paying for it later by feeling run down and with a bit of a stomach ache.
I will continue to eat the boot camp way and do some exercise until Saturday, then I will do my shopping for week 1 of meta and doing my pureeing (I am going to make my week 1 food in batches since its the same thing every day) on Sunday. Very excited!

Boot Camp Day 7
Hi everyone!
I have stuck with it for an entire week! Out of curiosity, I weighed in.
Starting weight 280.4 lb
Day 7 weight: 269.5. 10.9 lb LOST in a week! I am sure a lot of it is water but still, weight is weight. I also notice I fit in some of my clothes better.
My exercise: I didn't get all of the workout done but I got the important part- CARDIO. 30 minutes of cardio step touching. It's been hellishly hot here where I live, and I live in an un-airconditioned place aside from my bedroom. So, in my room I did arms and abs (no room for legs with my bed there) and then braved the oven that is my living room to do my cardio. I did take a water break every 10 minutes so I wouldn't pass out.
Diet again was good-
Breakfast- Mushroom Omelet Roll up
Vegetable soup with white beans. Again this recipe says to puree. Still, tasted good. Almost the same as puree of broccoli soup. 9/10.
Snack- Cucumber Relish (used old pic) Didn't put mint on it, much better. 8/10.
Dinner: Ratatouille and Escarole Salad. I finally found out what a ratatouille even was. Delicious. And for a recipe for one this is a HUGE portion, this is on my big dinner plate. Escarole was blech, it's really bitter raw. Splashed it with lemon juice and it helped a little. Entree- 10/10, Salad 6/10
3 more days and I move on to Sequence 2. I can't believe time is flying. I'll be back on Omnicentric metamorphosis before I know it!

Day 1 of pre-bootcamp training- Morning Edition!
Good morning everyone!
Today is my first day of operation Old Year Resolutions! Being that today is Monday, it is my day off of exercising. (I have work and class today- and a final exam! Need my energy!) However it is NOT a diet "cheat day". Still watching those calories. Speaking of, I found out how many I need per day here:
I weighed in this morning- about 266 pounds/121 kg, I'm 5 feet 5 inches/165 cm tall and 25 years old. Added that in the calculator. For activity level, I selected "Little to no exercise/desk job", to be safe. (Didn't want to overestimate calories and I think by exercise level, I think they really mean are you active during the day, which I generally am not other than TAM) I am following the "extreme fat loss" section, which allows me 1437 calories a day on average. Now there is a link below that that says "7 day calorie cycle (zig-zag)" I clicked that, and I am shown how to vary my calories throughout the week.
Why would I do this? Supposedly it is supposed to keep the body guessing, to prevent plateauing, just like how TA says to vary your muscle work every 10 days. I will also re-calculate my calorie needs every week, especially if I lose significantly. I will also be following this method of dieting when I begin Boot Camp on Jan 2, 2011.

Day 39-9/9/10
Hello!
Lately I notice a few people who ordered Tracy's new book have already received it and from what I hear, has a LOT of useful information as well as a cardio section without a lot of space/choreography needed. That's reallt good to hear, I want to buy the book too but want to wait until it comes to bookstores (later this month I believe) so I can give it a look before I buy it. (I always like to do that with books, peruse it a while before purchase)
From what I hear on the Facebook groups I am in, the book is supposed to be pretty good.
I finally went back to work after a long summer off- being home all day with little to do was getting boring.
Here's what I ate today- My calorie goal was 1695
Breakfast-
Oatmeal- 150
Whipped butter- 67
Brown sugar- 45
Lunch-
Healthy Choice Chicken Parmigiana meal- 350
Snack-
1 serving of Sun Chips- 140
Dinner-
1 cup of egg noodles- 220
Butter- 55
6 ounces Grilled beef with spices (no oil) - 373
Dessert-
1/16 chocolate silk pie- 280
Grand total- 1680 calories!
Exercise-
Didn't do any TAM today, work started at 3, I figured I would work out in the morning, but instead woke up at 8, ate breakfast, felt sleepy again and thought I would just take an hour nap, instead I woke up at 12:30 p.m., and then had to start getting ready to go to work. I came home, ate dinner, and now I feel pretty sleepy again. Tpday I have been feeling fatigued and I don't know why, as I do eat enough calories, try to get enough sleep, etc.

2 pieces of corn on the cob- 166 calories
1 2/3 Tbsp of whipped butter *for the corn* 112 calories

Day 31- 9/1/10
Hello!!!
It's finally September... I can't wait for the cooler weather!!! So far I really enjoy this calorie cycling thing. I don't even feel like I am dieting. Today was my highest day of the week- 2,208 calories... But I ate it. It was challenging and I had to eat a lot (unfortunately a lot of it isn't perfectly healthy either but that's a LOT of calories...)
Breakfast-
1 Sausage Biscuit from McDonalds- 430 calories
2 Hash Browns- 300 calories
Midmorning snack-
1 protein shake- 140 calories
Caramel rice cakes- 60
Lunch-
Roast beef TV dinner- 350 calories
Mid afternoon/Post Workout
1 protein shake- 140 calories
Fat free popcorn- 100 calories
Dinner-
2 cups of whole wheat pasta- 400 calories
1 cup of tomato sauce- 140 calories
Dinner roll (plain) - 80 calories
1 tsp olive oil (on the pasta) - 45 calories
Total calories- 2185 calories- a little short but man... Eating today was difficult. I haven't eaten this much in a day in a long time. Tomorrow is more reasonable- 1467 calories for tomorrow. That's a lot more realistic! It seems like Wednesday is my designated pigout day or something. Other than breakfast (which I had at McDonalds to knock out a good portion of the calories- I would have to eat a LOT of the food I have at home to make up for it and when I overeat I tend to get indigestion and we all know how fun THAT is. :) )
Exercise-
Was able to max out at 20 minutes of high impact dancing... I always push myself with that to try and help my endurance. Did NOT do PD1 and I feel pretty guilty about it. I didn't do it early because I had class, and I got home later and more tired (I think from all the food) than I expected. There's always tomorrow! 20 minutes of cardio is not bad as it is all things considered.

I think I could have lost even more if I did more cardio and ate more mindfully. That being said- Today is the first day of my calorie cycling-
Total calories needed- 1695
Breakfast-
Slept in, didn't eat breakfast
Midmorning snack-
Protein shake- 140 calories
Lunch-
Healthy Choice beef broccoli microwave dinner- 400 calories
1 cup of chex mix- 280 calories
Post workout-
Protein shake- 140 calories
Dinner- (was naughty but I was on the way to class)
Double hamburger from Burger King- 410 calories
Night snack-
2/3 cup pretzels- 280 calories
3 Lifesaver Mints- 45 calories
Grand total- 1695 on the nose! Tomorrow is 1356 calories, have to be a bit more frugal. Wednesday is my highest day of the week- 2033 calories!!!
Exercise-
Did PD1- still at 20 reps on the legs. Felt good. Maybe next week I'll up it to 25 if my left leg isn't struggling so much.
Cardio- did the warmup to Beginner Dance Cardio- then realized I don't have room to do the combos! However, I improvised.
I danced for 15 minutes straight at a pretty high impact, not necessarily doing a combination over and over but switching time to time moves I have seen Tracy do in BDC and in DC08. Just without spinning and twirling all over the place. Makes me really want to get a mini trampoline~ I would have done 30 minutes had I not had errands to run before class. Nonetheless, I was left a sweaty, tired (in a good way) mess. :)

Day 16- 8/17/10
Hello!
It seems my theory about sleep and soreness (in my case) was right- I got a full night's sleep, and woke up feeling like I did work out but not like I couldn't walk. Also I make a joke with my friends that I have a standing daily "date" with Tracy Anderson, and if we keep seeing eachother at the end of this month, I think it could be the start of a nice long term relationship~
All joking aside, I actually am starting to get addicted to working out. In the past, I have not stayed on any kind of exercise for very long, due to discouragement and not seeing the results I was hoping for, at all. This time, I am seeing quick results and I actually LIKE the workout. I find it fun, whereas others may find it a grueling hell. :)
Breakfast:
Protein shake (had to run errands really early today)
Lunch/midmorning snack
2 hardboiled eggs
1 cup (cooked) whole wheat rotini with olive oil and garlic
Midafternoon snack (post workout)
Protein shake
Dinner
Sweet onion chicken teriyaki sandwich from Subway (6 inch) No cheese, no extra oil
Exercise
PD1- Instead of only upping to 20 reps on like, 2 of the moves like yesterday, now that I was well rested, I was able to increase ALL of my leg work by 5 reps- except that brief leg series after the arms. By then I'm still just tired, however I am slowly able to do them a little faster but with a lot of challenge.
Today I got lucky- we had a nice, cool, overcast day outside so you know what that means? I went outside and did about 10 minutes of dance cardio. Half of that time was skipping, jumping jacks, doing random moves from the combinations I know, the other half was doing combo 1 to one song. I would have done combo 2 as well, but after 10 minutes, I was spent. My lungs were starting to hurt as were my legs (I really go full out energy when I do my DC outside). I noticed my endurance is going up a LITTLE too. :)

Day 10- 8/11/10
Hello~
Feeling tons better today! Woke up early, did some housework, and got my workouts in. Didn't eat much either. Medicine I am on decreases my appetite and today was pretty hot out, that has a similar effect on me at times.
Breakfast-
Bowl of rice and an egg
Lunch-
Skipped, wasn't hungry
Dinner-
1/2 of a small zucchini, roasted with olive oil and garlic
2 hard boiled eggs (didn't want to heat up the place too much)
Misc-
2 bottles of G2 Gatorade (45 calories a bottle)
Exercise-
Did PD1 with flying colors, although still 15 reps a move. I tried something new- doing my dance cardio outside~ with my own music. I was able to do about 10 minutes of cardio, combo 1 and 2 each once to a song, then random TA-derived movements around the driveway (skipping, jumping, jumping jacks, etc)

Day 6... Exhaustion
Hello!
The concert last night really took a lot out of me! I crashed in bed last night and didn't wake up until about 5... in the afternoon. Recuperating for tomorrow, when I go back to Lollapalooza (the music festival here in Chicago going on this weekend) tomorrow to enjoy some more good music!
Even though I won't be doing TA today or tomorrow, I will still be a good girl caloriewise!
Yesterday I didn't eat much, had Asian food for lunch then pretty much water the rest of the day aside from a few snacks I brought with.
Today, not much eating either, considering I was sleeping :)

Day 3- 8/4/10
Hello~
Day 3 went a lot better than yesterday. Still a little sore but exercise was still doable. Also, I know this sounds crazy and that my "eyes are playing tricks on me", I am starting to see visual results after my second day of actual exercise. I notice a little of a dent in my belly, and some changes in my thighs and butt too.
Today was a lot more dietarily meager than yesterday to make up for all of the calories I took in.
Breakfast
1 bowl of rice and an egg
Lunch
1 bowl of rice and some kimchi (Korean pickled cabbage- also thought to help weight loss among other health benefits)
Dinner
3 ounces of corned beef
Homemade beef noodle soup, my bowl consisting of:
1 cup of noodles (cooked)
1 small potato
2 cups of beef broth
1 bottle of San Pellegrino mineral water
Exercise:
