Saw the Avengers!

Hello everyone!

Last night I took a study break and went to go see the Avengers movie.  It was the opening night so it was very crowded, but the movie was very good

While I knew Iron Man was in the movie before I saw it, I didn't know Gwyneth was going to be in it too (even if it was for just a short time!) back in her role as Pepper Potts.

I normally don't think most movies are all that great but this one was actually worth seeing in the theaters and in 3-D.  I had also seen a couple other movies in 3-D and they weren't that great either.

And of course, Gwyneth and Scarlett looked great in the movie. Not sure if Tracy (or one of her trainers) was training Scarlett as well.

The movie just opened last night, so if you want to see it without the crowds, see it a while later.  This was actually my first opening night to see a movie ever, and it wasn't that bad of an experience as I thought it was going to be.  Sure, a lot of showings were sold out but I still got in.

Off to do some more homework- Have a great Saturday!

Blueberry Muffin Shake??

Hello everyone!

Needless to say, I successfully completed my first day on the Clean shakes.

I am still experiencing my cold-like symptoms/sinus infection (sometimes when I blew my nose it was greenish, sign of infection, but now it's back to clear) and I am feeling a bit more tired.

I do like, however, how these shakes make going potty easier. I used to be the constipation Queen. Not anymore and I feel better as a result.

One thing I really do want to rave about- the taste of the shakes when done right!

I started out with the vanilla powder- halfway through I will be transitioning to chocolate.  I can say that the way I make my shake with vanilla- it feels as if I am drinking a liquefied blueberry muffin.

The vanilla has kind of a cake-battery taste to it and the Move fiber gives it that breadlike quality. Add a cup and a half of water/almond milk and a cup of blueberries and blend. The result is a very thick, yummy shake.

I'm currently going through my second day, so far so good- will post tomorrow about it!

Have a great Monday. :)

Scrub a dub dub! (Internally at least!)

Hello everyone!

Yesterday was terrible. I felt awful all day, and I also had an epiphany.

Going clean is going to be a lot harder than I thought, and I need help. Turns out, that thanks to a VERY generous friend, I have help!

I will be doing the CLEAN program kit that I have (Also now known as the GOOP Cleanse endorsed by Gwyneth Paltrow), beginning with a week of pre-cleansing starting tomorrow, It will involve me eating 3 solid meals a day, keeping to the ingredients that I am allowed to have.  On March 11, I will begin using the kit, which involves me replacing 2 meals with shake mix (they include it in the package) and supplements- probiotics, insulin regulators and digestion supplements.

More information and purchasing of the cleanse here: www.cleanprogram.com

Also starting up Metamorphosis along with this cleanse, depending how I feel on it.

My goal with this cleanse is to use it to become fresh, light, and wheat/gluten/garbage-free.  I will post about how I feel as I do it!

Have a great day and start the weekend off right!

Day 53-56 Metamorphosis

Hi guys!

I've been absent again because I haven't been feeling well- this month's Aunt Flo is really bad this time.  However I wasn't exactly inactive this weekend.  Saturday, I did a lot of walking, I went to two malls to go buy some new clothes for work. I ended up walking around for a long time, at least 3 hours. Sunday, I went to the mall again because I had to exchange something, but had to do other errands and clean up a little bit.  Yesterday (Monday) I really wanted to do my TA workouts but there was a physical factor that made that pretty much impossible. (TMI alert!) Really heavy flows caused me to have to take a sideline for the day, but I did eat sort of carefully considering. (Even though I finished the day with pizza I was good during the daytime and drank a lot of water).

On a side note: TA is supposedly hosting the Self Facebook page and included an article showing some moves.

These are moves from the book, if you do not have the book then this would be a good preview for you!

Have a great day and I will try to get my workout in also!

Eating Clean- Lots of Questions!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, I decided to have my cheat day instead of Sunday (tomorrow) so I will be posting about day 23 (I believe) tomorrow as that workout is being done today.

Now on to the subject- Eating clean and healthy.  I really want to start doing this (and counting calories because even clean foods can be high in them) at least most of the time and I have some questions about it.  I am a former fast food/junk food addict and I'm noticing whenever I eat these things, I end up feeling like crap. I have already reduced my Diet Coke intake to 1-2 cans a day when it used to be 6+ a day and more water. What I have questions about is the food, since I have to stay to a budget (poor college student).

1. My most burning question: Are canned and frozen vegetables OK? I have a bunch of cans in the cupboard and all the ingredients say are vegetable name, water, and sometimes salt. (I rinse them before eating). No sulfites or weird chemisty language, same with the frozen veggies. I wish I could afford good, fresh organic but at this time it's not realistic.

2. Are whole grain pastas ok? I have a couple of boxes of whole grain pasta with again, no chemistry talk, and I have some spaghetti sauce that is all natural and has no preservatives.

3. Nobody's perfect, I know I will slip up sometimes as everyone does. However on cheat days is there anything that I should absolutely positively ALWAYS avoid? Like any certain ingredients?

4. Is cheese considered "clean"? I do love yogurt, cheese and dairy on occasion (I normally don't have dairy or eggs) and again, organic isn't always an option.

5. I know steel cut oats are amazing for eating clean, but what about the quicker cooking oats? I have some of this around the house too- not flavored or instant, the kind that comes in the big cardboard can.

6. Soy. Oh, soy. So many benefits and health scares. I make a lot of Korean food that involves soybeans and tofu.  The tofu they sell at my market is organic and non GMO, and the fresh soybeans are also non GMO. Is this ok?

I think that's it for now. I know a lot of my readers follow the clean diet. I also want to save money and do the Junger cleanse- the deep one- but it's $450. Well worth it, it's just a matter of saving up!  Sorry for all the questions, I have done internet research but I get a lot of conflicting info, especially about vegetables!  If you have more suggestions on eating clean on a budget- post in the comments below! Any info is helpful to me, as again, I am new at this!

Day 15 Metamorphosis

Hi~!

I have completed Day 15 of metamorphosis, Omni level 2 day 5. However, it was a long, arduous process.  Again, I haven't slept well and I had a long day of classes, when I went to do my MS, I wanted to go to 17 reps per leg but stayed at 16 again.  After every different move, I had to sit and  yawn. Not because I was bored, but because I was tired. And cranking out those reps was painful. Painful but it got done.

Cardio did not get done last night, I would have probably passed out mid-dance and just fallen asleep on the living room floor in my workout clothes. For day 16, since I get out of work at 5, not 7:45, the plan is to take a nap, do my meta, and either add the Beginner Dance Cardio DVD onto that or add 2 combos on day 16, and then 2 more on day 17 to make up for the loss. I really did not want to take day 15 off entirely because this time I want my Sunday off.

Also, since I have been working out and getting visually slimmer, I am beginning to crave food hard core.  I'm very often tired, hungry, or a combination of the two. Sometimes I do allow myself to have some of the food I crave as long as I don't go crazy (always the hardest part). I think it's partially that my body is used to having this extra fat on it, and wants to eat to replenish it and to that I say NO NO NO!

I have also decided to reduce my weigh ins from every day to more like every week or two. I am learning that the scale is a tricky bastard, and EVERYTHING counts on the scale- bone, water, food, hair, etc.  I have decided to trust in the tape measure- That will tell you truthfully if you're making progress, because it is not necessarily weight loss we are really wanting to achieve, but fat loss. The scale hasn't been budging for me and based on my research, at the beginning that is actually normal as I am likely building muscle (Building doesn't necessarily mean bulking!) which weighs more than fat anyway.

I used to be a scale slave and it drove me insane. If you aren't a scale slave, quit while you're ahead! Go by the number on the tape measure/on the tags of your clothing, not the number on the scale!

I will try to get through my day today, I feel, as an online friend of mine said, "Like a limp dishrag" but that means changes are happening! Have a great day!

Day 14 Metamorphosis

Hello everyone!

I did my day 14 workout last night, and I upped my leg reps to 16. It hurt. Badly. I think it's because I haven't been sleeping well that this is such a struggle. It could also be that my body hates planks, haha.

As for cardio, I did 35 minutes of dancing- I no longer use the Meta DVD for cardio, instead I made my own little playlist of music that lasts about 35 minutes and just dance until the music stops.

My playlist consists of the following-

I find it much easier to let loose and not keep watching the clock when I am just dancing to music of my choosing. Before I knew it, I had done 35 minutes of cardio with no breaks or boredom! When I up to 40, I will post that playlist too! I am still step touching but really getting my major sweat on.

Looking forward to doing day 15 tonight! 5 more days until measuring! Have a great day everyone and get your workout in!

On a final note, I would like to wish a Happy  Birthday to the one and only Tracy Anderson, without whom my newfound enthusiasm for exercise  and transformation would likely not be possible~

Yesterday and Today,

Hello everyone!

I woke up this morning and the first thing I realized is Ow. My. Ass. (the muscles, that is) Also, the terror known as Aunt Flo has retreated... For now.

Yesterday: Still was weakened from it, but managed to crank out 20 reps of the leg webisode, except for the last move, only 10 reps. I always had a problem with moves involving lifting my leg to the side, I think my hip muscles are a bit weaker.  Arms, was almost able to do all of it. Cardio- a 10 minute brisk walk after because I was feeling pretty exhausted after my MS.

Today:  Due to the soreness of my ass, I decided to compromise with my butt and do 15 reps instead of 20. I was already feeling the burn at 10. Did the abs webisode and arms too.  Cardio I have not done yet- I am at home today and will probably get my beginner dance cardio on in a little while.

Also- an update! My Metamorphosis will be here (hopefully) on Thursday!!!! SO excited!  I will probably spend the weekend watching all of the workouts and looking at all of the material thoroughly and then explain it to you guys, which should be helpful to those of you who haven't ordered it yet and want to see what you get before buying.

That's it for now!

Day 4 report

Hi everyone!

Day 4... didn't go as well as I had HOPED. It wasn't terrible but it could have been a lot better.  Everything started going well, I even got my dance cardio in- 20 minutes from 10! :)

Until I checked the mail. A letter from my school saying after this semester, I will no longer be eligible for financial aid because I guess I'm taking too long to finish.  Insert panicking stress.

I was so stressed, worried and frantic last night that I was online looking for other ways to pay for school (I have about 2 years left), and worrying that I'll be stuck working retail for the rest of my life because I couldn't afford to go to become the nurse I had dreamed of being. Then by the time I look at the clock, it's 1 am. MS not done. Ugh.  At least I have the balls to admit I screwed up.

I'll try to do better for day 5- there's still time... Wish me luck, I need all the luck I can get.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! (It's already New Year's Day in some parts of the world at the time of this entry!)

Today, even though I am not exercising, that does not mean TAM has been out of my mind.  I am spending some time today to plan out groceries and calendars for my workouts.

My diet- I am not going to stick to the book recipes exactly. I may make a few of the recipes and repeat them, also I am going to exercise strict portion control, more vegetables, more lean meats and more green tea. In the book Tracy does say changing your diet all depends on where you're starting from and to improve based on that.

I will also be incorporating into my diet more Asian based food, mainly Korean and Japanese style, as well as their general rules for eating- they are some of the thinnest countries for a reason!

Some of these rules-

1. Eat slowly and enjoy your food!
2. Eat until you are 80 percent full
3. Red meat portions very small, since I cannot have fish, I will eat chicken more.
4. Lots of vegetables and rice (which is NOT fattening if eaten in proper portions)
5. Little to no sugar or desserts- Fun fact- Japanese people almost never take dessert and if they do, it's usually fruit.
6. More unplanned exercise (Outside of TAM) such as walking to the store, walking to work, etc.
7. More green tea drinking! I got a huge box of really nice green tea bags at Costco.
As for my calendars- I have all the way up until April 2011 planned- Boot camp for January (No rest days), then beginning the 10 day rotations between other workouts I have with Sunday rest days.  I like planning like this, I like to see in the long run how things will go.
As for tonight, since I am not going out or partying, I decided to splurge a little on myself and went to the butcher and got myself a prime grade filet mignon, which I will broil and have with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and a glass of merlot.  Then when it's time, champagne to celebrate the New Year and the future new me!

Christmas Confessions

Hello everyone!!!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas who celebrated.  Christmas is another time of year when my body seems to think I have a license to eat way too much than I need...

So I have a confession~

I ate so much food over the weekend I almost felt sick to my stomach. And no, it wasn't with family or anything, I actually went out to eat fast food a few times over the weekend with my friend. And exercise? Nope.  Guilty? A little. I'll admit.

However, today I have (so far) been eating much better and watching my calories. Workout soon, planning on doing Mat and at least 20 minutes of DC. Bootcamp starts in a week!

Old-Year Resolutions!

Hey everyone-

Feeling a little depressed today.  Looking back, this week, I have been less than great about my workouts. Even the small goals (like working out 4 times a week) seem to be just slacked off.  I need to stop this!!!! I also need to really re-evaluate what I eat, it seems when  I count calories, then the weight seems to budge. When I don't, nothing happens or I blow out like a Goodyear blimp.

On a side note about my health, a friend of mine suggested I may have hypothyroidism, which is also making my weight gain harder, as well as other symptoms. Going to the doctor soon to get that investigated. Will update later.

I really need to make a change- I need to train up to be able to do Boot Camp again (hopefully for January to kick off the new year!)
I also think this winter weather really affects my motivation to do anything.  I've been sleeping in a lot, which ruins my day because then I don't have time to do anything.

So the goals- which I really have NO EXCUSES not to do because I am at home most of the time-are:

1. Cardio 6 times a week. Deciding to mix it up depending on my mood between boot camp and Beginner DC.

2. Mat Workout 4-6 times a week, before the cardio, aim for 5 more reps on legs each time I do it.  Gotta push all that stuff to the surface to be melted away!

3. Calorie limit- 1000-1300 calories a day, lower on days I do less exercise.  This has worked well for me in the past.

4. Mondays will be the new days off until winter break starts for me (no work, and no class during this time, where it will be reverted back to Sunday) since I currently have 2 big obligations on Mondays.

5. Be more consistent with my  blogging.  I see I've been slacking a bit lately.  Sorry guys!!!

I call these my Old-Year Resolutions. It's the last month of the year, hence the name. Boot Camp will be the New Year kickoff! So excited. I think that if I keep up the Old-Year goals, I should be strong enough physically to do the boot camp. (Of course it will still be hard!)

Do you guys have any old-year resolutions?  What would you do to change before the new year starts?

My thanksgiving plans... AND a new video from Tracy!

Hi guys!!

Well, tomorrow is the big day for Americans- Thanksgiving Day which  means we are going to be around a lot of food.  What are my plans for tomorrow?

I am going to be cooking!  While it won't be the healthiest, it's one day, so no need to stress.  I'm making a roast ham, stuffing, and a few vegetables on the side.  If anything, the killer (and arguably the best tasting of this) is the stuffing, which I will be making from scratch!  Old family recipe and I only make it once a year, and I will try my best not to overindulge.

Knowing I will be eating this lovely stuff, I did a little extra exercise than normal.  I am actually quite proud of myself!  I had to go pick up my paycheck, but instead of driving my car, I decided to walk there and back instead, so I got in a full hour of walking (30 minutes each way) and even though it's pretty cold here, I was sweating when I got home.  After that, I did my Mat workout- 15 reps a leg, walking really burned my legs! and 40 minutes of boot camp dance cardio (step touching).

Speaking of cardio, lately I have been feeling pain in my arches of my feet, my knees and my hips, and I think it's definitely because of the shoes.  Hopefully tonight, I will be ordering a new pair of Mizuno Wave Inspire 6 *recommended by Tracy among a few others* online tonight and having them overnighted to me so I can hopefully use them on Friday when I am working off the yummies.

Last, but definitely not least- just in time for Thanksgiving, Tracy released a new webisode on YouTube- a short leg work section and a new dance cardio routine!  Enjoy!  I want one of those Tracy tank tops they're wearing- super cute!

Have a lovely Thanksgiving, enjoy friends, family, and food- and get back to work on Friday!

Pre-bootcamp training final thoughts

Hello all!

After falling off of the bootcamp wagon due to my physical inability to go further than sequence 1, as I  mentioned before, I am going to be starting with the basics.  If I was lighter, bootcamp would have been much more doable I think.

I decided to give my old friend, Mat Workout another go. I remember it being doable, but very challenging. In a good way! I also only remember being able to do about 10 reps on each leg. My goal- do 40 easily!

I also remembered the fact that I have the Tracy Anderson Connect abs, butt and arms webisodes. I have never actually DONE these, and so I gave them a watch.  Looks like a similar workout to the Mat workout without the chair and I think this will be my next transition after I master the original Mat workout.
One thing I do miss that the older Muscular Structure work has that the new one does not is weighted arms. I remember when I first ever tried Tracy's workout, I saw results in my arms much faster than when I was doing PD1.  Also a huge plus that Mat has against PD series is the standing abs are easy to follow along with after watching it once or twice.

Last, but finally  not least, I have noticed myself tightening up in a bad way- loss of flexibility.  When I can squeeze it in, I will steal my roomie's P90X Stretch DVD- a whole hour of good stretching.  I want to get my hands on Ballet Boot Camp's stretch DVD as well.   Stretching time would be before bed, something about stretching out before bed makes it a lot easier to fall asleep.

Going to weigh in before work tomorrow too, on the GOOD scale. The tricky part will be subtracting clothes weight.  My home scale is loopy, every time I step on I get a different result. At my job, the gym has a scale that gives consistent readings!

Alright, enough rambling, time to go to bed. Got a busy day ahead!

BOOOOOOOT CAAAAAAAMP!!!! :D

Hi!

Today I had originally intended to go out and buy Tracy's book, so I gave a friend of mine a call and told her I wanted to go to the book store.  So we met up and we were looking around (I was beelining for Tracy's book) and I go to pick it up and my friend (who I hadn't noticed was carrying a bag) said "I got something for you. Put that back."

My early Christmas giftie- My very own copy of the book!!!!!

She told me that she saw Tracy on TV and thought the workout looked pretty neat.  I then informed her of one little detail- That blog you keep hearing me talk about... This is what it's about! I've been trying to tell you for months!

So now, I have a new recruit!  We will both be doing the bootcamp starting November 1.  We aren't going to follow her diet exactly THOSE recipes but (at least I) will be eating as clean as possible. I know it's going to be tough. No more fast food, no more diet soda... No more Sundays off, at least for 30 days.

At the end of the bootcamp, I will continue on with the PD series like it says but I will take my Sundays off, thank you.  She even mentions in the book for the bootcamp it has to be daily, but for the long term, DO take a day off a week.

On another note, I love how she breaks the method down by fitness level. Really good advice for beginners.  She has schedules for Absolute Beginners/People who are totally out of shape~ (like me!) to the super advanced~ Something for everyone!

I will also be taking a new before pic, new measurements, new weight, and will start tweeting and video blogging all along the way.

I do admit, I am taking this weekend to enjoy all the junk food I can (within reason) before I say bye bye for a whole month, at least.

If any of you are also starting boot camp on November 1, let me know!

Exercise ruts and some ways to bust out!

Hi guys!

Many of you may know me from the Tracy Anderson Method group on facebook where I post fairly often.

One of my recent posts was about my exercise and diet rut that I seem to be stuck in.

As you can see I used to be very actively doing exercise and somewhat dieting.  This lasted about a month or so and then I got sick, and I took off from exercising.  This turned into over a month now of excuses and laziness.  I just haven't felt like exercising or eating well really.

Giving it some thought, I thought of some reasons for my lack of motivation.

1. Lately my sleep schedule has been really off kilter.  When I was into the exercising, I woke up at a reasonable time and went to bed around midnight. Now its more like sleep at 4 am, sleep all morning until the afternoon, feel like crap for the rest of the day, repeat.   Today I woke up at 7:30 am, and have been forcing myself to be awake for the rest of the day in an attempt to get this back on track.

2. I have been feeling really stiff, bloated, and like I've aged 60 years.  Also my lady friend is all off kilter too. Both I believe are attributed to my first thing.

3. Stress I don't think is too much of a factor, at least in the mental kind of way, but I guess the lack of sleep could be physically stressing.

So the bottom line- GET  MY ASS TO BED!!!!  Haha. All kidding aside, I got a lot of helpful advice and support from my friends in the TA group.  This advice really goes for any kind of exercise rut, not just TA.

- Choose a day to work out and just do it- with the mentality that next time will be easier.
- Start small- build up the amount and intensity gradually until you are back in your old swing of things.
- If the reason for your rut is plain old boredom, switch up your exercise.
- (A funny one) Get naked and do yoga in front of the mirror- ew! Hahaha!
- Keep yourself accountable to someone- be it online or one of your friends. Preferably someone with similar fitness goals/type of exercise that you are doing.
- (For those who are doing TA like I am) Try her boot camp book that just came out.

Speaking of book, that is the number one thing I want for Christmas this year, even if it's ALL I get.

Today I am going to take a walk outside and stretch. I feel too stiff and weird to do TA today, especially in my hips. Ouch!  I think I will hit the Tracy Wagon full force by  Monday, taking today - Sunday to stretch myself out and re-calibrate my sleep.

How do you guys get out of YOUR ruts?

The new Day 2- 10/12/10

Hey everyone!

Today was a half good, half bad day.

Bad news first- I overate a teeny bit on my diet.  My friend and I went to 7-11 and decided to try some new treats.  And, I snacked a lot during the day. Then again that time of the month is very very near so I am not going to beat myself up.

The breakdown-

Breakfast-

Oatmeal- 2 points

Snacks-

Lemonhead candy- 2 points
A lot of rice cakes- 5 points
Deli salami (I was really craving this today and I ate a lot of it... ) 7 points
Lunch-

1/2 of a ramen bowl- 4 points
3 ounces of roast beef- 5 points

Dinner (or "Dinner")

2 corn dogs- 16 points
1 pizza roll- 7 points
1 can of regular coke- 3 points

Total points today... 49, 16 over my 33 limit.

However, all is not lost.

Weight watchers allows an extra 35 points during the week for slipups, or to save for eating out.  But before I took off points for that....

We have what they call Activity points- extra points earned from, you guessed it, activity.

My activities for today-

Cleaning my apartment- -1 point
Tracy Anderson Beginning Dance Cardio- -6 points

Points are calculated based on your weight, intensity, and how long you did it.   Also as a rule, only eat 4 points worth of these activity points max, then deduct the rest from your weekly points.

So the end result: 33 daily, 4 activity (eaten), and 12 weekly points gone.  On a side note, weekly points are purely optional, as are activity points. The extra 4 points you can eat are if you WANT to have a treat.  However,  you should always eat all of your daily points.  (I hope this makes somewhat of sense...)

On the subject of exercise:

I accomplished doing BDC through the warmup and combos 1-3. I do take breaks between songs but then I go back at it.  And yes, I do tire now and then, especially during the up tempo-with music parts, in which case I do sidesteps and grapevines back and forth to the music engaging my arms until I am ready to get back into the actual routine.  I would have done combo 4 but it's late, and I don't want to pester the neighbors.  I do feel it in my lungs still, for sure!  No Perfect Design today, but tomorrow morning/afternoon I aim to do PD1 first, then get through at LEAST combos 1-2 of BDC.

9/28/10

Hello!!!

Today was a great day for me, workout wise and diet wise.  This morning I was feeling the pain of a sinus headache (the weather is changing here to autumn), so I slept until noonish and didn't feel like eating breakfast or lunch.  Ate a big but healthy dinner- recipe below.

Beef Stir Fry-

This either serves 4 sort of hungry people or 2 really hungry people. :)

8 ounces of beef (preferably steak, fat trimmed. I used top sirloin)
1 large red pepper
1 large green pepper
1 medium onion
1 carrot
8 oz of baby bella (small brown crimini) mushrooms
2 Tbsp of canola or olive oil
Soy Sauce (to taste)

1. Cut beef into bite sized strips and heat the oil in a wok.  Brown the beef in the oil, then add about 2 Tbsp of soy sauce.  Continue cooking until the meat is fully cooked.
2. Slice all of the vegetables into bite sized pieces. Add them to the cooked meat and cook, stirring frequently until onions are almost translucent.  Add more soy sauce while cooking, to taste.
3. Serve with rice.
1/2 of this recipe has about 450 calories in it, and it's a pretty heaping amount.  I ate that, plus 1 cup of brown rice.

Snack- Motza cracker

Exercise:

I did PD1 but I was quickly reminded how out of shape I am.  Taking two weeks off makes me feel like my body regressed almost all the way back to the beginning.  I am back at just 15 reps per leg movement, and I can't do the bridge movement at all anymore. Well, more to work toward!

I also did 10 minutes of full out dancing/jumping on the rebounder.  That worked me out MUCH harder than dancing on the floor. My legs were on FIRE and my heart rate was really up there, dripping with sweat, red faced, etc... WITHOUT the knee pain and noise that kept me from going all out on my floor.  10 minutes is going to be my new starting point, the goal to add 5 minutes a week. But, I DO love rebounding. If I wasn't so pooped out when I was done, I'd have done more.

Alright, off to bed with me!!!

Day 45- 9/15/10

Hello-

Unfortunately another day off from working out. I was feeling really fatigued and in a LOT of pain (those of you who are my Facebook friends may have seen several statuses I put up about this). I ended up taking both a morning and afternoon nap, and after this post I think I am going to go to bed for the night! :)

However, I did eat pretty healthy today, for that I am proud of myself. As tempted as I was, I didn't scarf everything down in the house like I wanted to. AND it was mostly clean food!

I decided to not follow the calorie cycling anymore, it tells me to eat WAY too much!! I think I am just going to keep it clean(ish) and healthy, also trying to slowly cut dairy and diet sodas from my diet.   I used to drink upwards of six cans of diet coke a day, I'm down to 2-3 now.

Breakfast:

1 bowl of oatmeal flavored with stevia
1 cup of green tea

Midmorning snack:

1 protein shake (since I didn't foresee any meat today)

Lunch:

2 cups of whole wheat pasta with natural spaghetti sauce
1 cup of green tea

Dinner:

1 cup of brown rice
1 cup of steamed carrots
2 cans of diet coke

Water- drank 2 liters of water today~ I used to drink 0 water. :)

Oh! Thanks to a really nice lady on Facebook, I got a copy of the elusive Dance Aerobics DVD Tracy put out back in 2007 (which sadly is not available anymore... And on ebay it goes way over 100 dollars... USED.)  I was perusing it, and it seems a lot more tiny-space-friendly than BDC.  Also unlike BDC it has 9 combinations (which are all short and easy to learn) and has an option to play all 9 back to back up to tempo with  music. I am really excited about starting this! Depending on how I am feeling, I might try it out tomorrow at my own pace.  I don't think I'll feel good enough to do muscle work until Monday.  My monthly visitor is here, and this time with a horrible vengeance... Urgh.

Nonetheless I will still be back tomorrow and let you guys know what I did!

Day 35- 9/5/10

Hello again!

This has been 5 weeks into it, although week 5 wasn't stellar at ALL.  However, there's always next week to do better!

I did get the opportunity to see an excerpt of Tracy Anderson's new book (Comes out this month actually~), and all I have to say is DO WANT!
The link to the excerpt is here:

I have discovered that my hormones are my main weakness. I do however give myself credit for not going crazy with the eating every day this past week, as I normally would. I have a terrible feeling doing PD1 after all this slacking is going to hurt. In a good way.

Next week will be better- We have a holiday in the US, I have the day off tomorrow from class but NOT from Tracy Anderson. :)

Have a great week, and see you tomorrow as usual!
