Eating well and exercising, one day at a time.

Hello everyone!~

Not the most exciting post, but I feel a sense of accomplishment so I will blog anyway! :)

Today I actually kept 100% grain free. No mistakes. No accidents. No slip ups.

Breakfast:

A large Fuji Apple and a cup of coffee with nondairy cream/stevia

Lunch:

A big salad with half a can of canned chicken breast

Snack:

Handful of oven toasted almonds

Dinner:

I skipped. I didn't feel hungry enough to eat. This usually happens when I eat well. Breakfast and lunch usually (not always) are enough when I eat this way.  When I eat crap, I need all three squares and snacks.

I also did some exercises!

I did the Tracy Anderson arms webisode

100 Plies

And played some Dance Central 2

Tomorrow I am not sure what will happen, I am trying to take it a day at a time. One thing for sure is I will be starting Meta the day after tomorrow, so tomorrow might just be a stretch day.

Have a great Saturday night!!!

Update on how I am doing

Hello everyone!

In my earlier post I mentioned that I am  unable to work out because of my neck pain.  Today, it got so bad that I went to the doctor.

I am glad I did!

Turns out that I have a severe spasm in my neck which is also pinching a few nerves.   He also said that if I had waited longer to come in and see him, I would be headed for physical therapy.  Thankfully I got seen within the first few days so I am being treated right now with muscle relaxers.

So, as soon as I am better (which should be really soon) I will be doing my TAM. Until then I will walk and play Dance Central to keep moving and keep an eye on my eating so I do not put on more weight unnecessarily.

I will still be updating here, as usual.

Have a great day!

Precleanse Day 1

Hello everyone!

Quickie post today!

So far I have eaten/or prepared 2 meals today.

Breakfast:

Tracy Anderson shake mixed with almond milk. Very filling!

Lunch (haven't eaten yet)

Gluten free Rice/Flax pasta with olive oil and garlic, with some black beans on the side.

Dinner:

TBA but will probably be a salad of some kind and the rest of the black beans.

To drink today: Water with lemon slices in it. While most citrus is not allowed on the cleanse, they do allow lemons and limes.

I have to go to work soon (30 minute walk there and back) and I might play some Dance Central and do Meta when I come home.

Have a great day!!!

I got Dance Central 2!~

Hello everyone!

Today I got a nice surprise- I did a rebate a while back that I had forgotten about and got a $25 gift card to Best Buy. (Electronics store in the US) I posted a while back about wanting the game Dance Central 2, so I went to the store with my gift card to pick it up.  Turns out the game was only $30 on sale, best 5$ spent in a while.

I still have yet to play it but when I do I will post about how it went!

I got a Kinect!

Hello everyone!!!

Some of you may have heard of a new accessory you can get for the Xbox 360- the Kinect.  I ended up getting one for a late Christmas gift!

What it does is connects to your TVand like the Nintendo Wii you use your movement to control the games.   Except the Kinect has no remotes, it scans your body and you use your arms and legs themselves.

Additionally (and why I mention it in this blog) it can be a good workout tool.

I also got a game with it called Fighters Uncaged.  It's what it sounds like- a fighting game for the Kinect.

Yes, you actually do have to punch and kick. And it's harder than it looks. The one bad thing about this game is that the controls are not as responsive as I'd like but trying to do the moves also gives you a workout in itself.

Another game I really want to try- Dance Central 2

Here's a clip of someone actually playing it

I like that you actually have to dance, with  your arms and legs.   I think this will be my next game, I think it would be a fun addition to doing Meta (which I took off today, really wasn't feeling good but I will do it tomorrow) .

Do any of you have Kinect? Do you have any games you'd like to try?
