Hey guys.
Today I totally fell off the wagon as did yesterday. Ugh.
Day 10- didn't exercise, had no energy, and I craved (and ate!) chocolate like it was going out of style. And if that doesn't make me feel bad enough...
Day 11- Was SUPPOSED to be my first day of sequence 2. However, those chair workouts in my current fitness level just don't seem to want to happen and I had started thinking of an alternative, or lose weight doing other of Tracy's stuff before attempting boot camp. My flexibility and everything is SHIT compared to when I was slimmer, probably because I didn't have all this fat in the way.
What I am thinking of doing, at least until December, is still work out daily but going back to basics- the good ol' Mat DVD and work on that until I master it, doing Bootcamp cardio after it, since at least THAT part seems to sort of be going well.
Pennies for thoughts are always appreciated.
I couldn't do all of the exercises either at first but I did my best and before I knew it I could do 5 and then 10 etc. If you can't do them on the chair, adjust the exercise a little and do them on the floor instead. I know it is hard, but push yourself a little bit harder (remember what Tracy says in her book that we shouldn't give up as soon as it gets a little bit uncomfortable). It is such a great feeling when you realize that you can actually do it and proof that you are getting stronger and more flexible -and it happens fast if you just push yourself just that little bit further (and I don't mean to the point where it hurts!). Just go for it and let us know how it goes. Good luck! We are right here with you! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah this was more than just "uncomfortable" this was more like "I could seriously hurt myself".
ReplyDeleteFirst off, don't feel bad about the chocolate! After all, the choco puddings Tracy has has 1/2 cup of chocolate chips!!! That is a TON of chocolate! So don't worry.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, the Mat is wonderful, as you seem to already know. Doing the Bootcamp, I MISS THE MAT. I think that's a great idea. Keep up with your great eating, though, and just move on! Roxanne, you are doing great and are moving down in your weight, you can totally do this!
So maybe do the Mat and keep adding the cardio dvd from BC, building as you go, like you said.
You can totally do it! Just think of how far you have come in just 10 days! What always helps me, too, if I have had a bad workout day is tell myself that if I hadn't worked out, I would have probably gained what I just lost.
Keep at it! I love reading your blog and seeing how you are doing. If you succeed 99 times and fail once, that is AMAZING!
I think you should stick with the plan in the book, and just do what you can. If you can't do sequence 2 right now, just stick to sequence 1, and see if you can do that in another 10 days. Or even if you have to do sequence 1 the whole time, do that. The reason I say this is because I think it will be good for you mentally. You seem to start and stop things a lot (and I do it, too, so I'm not judging) so I think it would be good for you to finish something as you planned because then you can say to yourself, "I did it, even though it was hard, even though I had to change a few things, I got through it." Just my thoughts. Oh, and don't feel bad about the chocolate and whatnot. Everyone slips up once in a while. It's called being human. Just get back to the healthy eating and you'll do great. :)
