i empathize with your weight strug...my dear roxy,

i empathize with your weight struggles and root you on as you try new approaches to find greater happiness in regards to your weight. i am also a fan of tracy anderson method, and this korean girl has had an impressive transformation too, so i can see how you would have success with her videos.

I hope to be able to offer a little bit of heartfelt advice based on my experiences which have been similar to yours. I just wanted to say that I believe you are taking on too much at once, and being too tough on yourself. When I first read that you were going to double up your tracy anderson workouts, last week I was so sad for you because I knew it simply would not work. I knew that feeling of hope and enthusiams that comes from starting a new workout and feeling this time will be it, there is hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I also know the feeling of disappointment in oneself in not following through on my intentions and thinking, what the hell is wrong with me?

However, the good news is that after almost twenty years of dealing with being overweight, and uncomfortable in my body, and not being able to stick with exercise, I have breached that barrier. Because I see my struggles in yours, I hope this might in some small way help you toward your own success.

This simple bit of advice is to start slow, and build. I know how tempting it is to try to jump into something, to want results now, to be so sick of feeling overweight, and damn it this is gonna end right here right now. The truth is, that mentality kept me overweight and breaking the promises I kept to myself for so many years. Starting a workout and falling off the wagon, over and over and over.

My darling roxy, I hope to give you real hope that you will someday overcome your challenges. You have certainly shown yourself to be a fighter. I wish you would consider starting slow, slower than you think you should start at with number of reps, or duration of cardio. Give your body time to get used to it, then move on...add 5 more reps and 5 more minutes of cardio, but no more.I promise if you allow more patience for your body to get into shape, and more compassion toward yourself, you would not believe how you will suddenly be stronger, suddenly have more endurance, suddenly drop more pounds than you ever have before. It will take time, but think how long you've struggled with weight, by trying too much at once.

When I started tracy anderson dvd's, i would do too much and couldn't stick with it. I was discouraged. I decided to do ten reps and that's it! 10 minutes of cardio, and that's it! Then I just kept building from there, only adding 2 or three reps every few days. But I'm tellin' ya, it has made ALL the difference.

Very important as well was working out six days a week, and first thing in the morning. It's done at the beginning of the day and I feel accomplished the rest of the day. And doing it six days a week builds self-trust and self-confidence that you can keep your promises to yourself about working out.

Just to recap-
1) start slow and have patience
2) consistency: 6 days a week
3) workout first thing in the morning

I wish you nothing but the best miss roxy, and I'm cheerin' you on :)Leahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02730970489428407469noreply@blogger.com
